May 16-18, Integrated Sports Marketing proudly welcomed back NFL Hall of Fame Running Back Marshall Faulk as the host of the 16th annual Celebrity Championship. The 2014 tournament returned for its third year at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa. The event raised $135,000, which benefited the Junior Seau Foundation and the Marshall Faulk Foundation. In addition, a portion of the proceeds supported the displaced families in the recent San Diego Wildfires.
The tournament festivities included parties on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night where there was food provided by some of the best restaurants in San Diego. The activities on Friday included a Kid's Clinic sponsored by Gatorade and Ralphs. Kids in attendance received instruction from celebrities and Omni La Costa Resort and Spa golf staff. On Sunday the Celebrity Championship welcomed all current and retired military and their families for the 8th Annual Military Appreciation. All in attendance received free lunch from Carl's Jr.
The tournament brought together over 50 well known professional athletes and celebrities to compete. Our 6-time winner, Rick Rhoden, took home the $10,000 in prize money and the coveted Celebrity Championship Trophy. This year’s tournament participants included: Ray Romano, Goose Gossage, Bruce Jenner, Bret Boone, and Mark-Paul Gosselaar.
